In February, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to speak at the first ever WordCamp Asia. My topic was Migrating WordPress Core to GitHub Actions: A Retrospective:
In late 2020, WordPress Core started a multi-phase migration to move its automated testing to GitHub Actions. This talk will revisit this process to share what was learned along the way while gaining an understanding of the CI/CD concepts in GitHub Actions and how they can be used in your own projects.
I was supposed to give this talk at WordCamp Europe 2022. But unfortunately, I was unable to because of COVID. I was really happy to finally give this talk, and pleased with how it evolved between the two events.
Recordings
The recording of my talk was published about a month ago and you can finally watch it. If you’d like to view my slides as you watch, I previously shared them after leaving the stage. Below is an embed of the talk on YouTube, but it’s also available on WordPress.tv
